ALL PROCEEDS DONATED TO

FOUR LOCAL NONPROFITS!

Help our community this holiday season with a contribution to support nonprofits serving the East Bay. To date, EBRHA’s Expo ticket sales and silent auction have raised more than $10,000 toward a $15,000 goal to help four local nonprofits that provide critical services to our community: Bay Area Community Services, Housing Consortium of the East Bay, Richmond Promise, and SHELTER, Inc.

EBRHA’s “Community Forward” campaign will continue to raise money for these organizations through this month. Help us reach our $15,000 goal by December 15, 2021, with a contribution! Please visit the online donation form or text “expofund” to 41444 to donate today. We are grateful for your continued support and commitment to building a stronger East Bay housing community.

Meet the Nonprofits:

Through its housing fund, Bay Area Community Services provides incentives and support to help rental property owners in the community fill their units with people in need and open up new units to help solve the housing crisis. The organization provides permanent and time-limited rental assistance, transitional and ongoing renter support, mediation for owner/renter relationships, and a 24/7 hotline for housing emergencies.

Housing Consortium of the East Bay reports that its housing navigators are always looking to connect with rental property owners. The organization cannot develop enough housing for everyone it serves, and it works closely with partner rental housing providers to secure housing and support its clients in their new homes. Richmond Promise is a community-wide college success initiative to build a college graduating culture in Richmond, CA. Through a college scholarship, collaborative cross-sector partnerships, and supportive programming, the Richmond Promise aims to ensure all students in Richmond excel to and through higher education, reach their career goals, and become change-making leaders in the Richmond community. Property managers and owners are instrumental in SHELTER, Inc.’s mission to prevent and end homelessness. Through the Master Lease Program, they can rent directly to SHELTER, Inc., which offers guaranteed on-time rent, a one-year minimum lease and damage repair, renter screening, and a dedicated property specialist responsible for property inspections and tenancy monitoring. Property owners and managers can work with SHELTER, Inc. to find good renters for their properties and then rent to those people directly, some of whom may receive rental assistance.
